(10 abr. 1865, Dover Centre, Ohio, EE.UU.–3 nov. 1944, Kingsville, Ontario, Canadá).

Naturalista canadiense. Después de mudarse a Canadá en 1878, estableció un santuario de aves en 1904 en su granja de Kingsville, Ontario. Anilló más de 50.000 patos entre 1910 y 1915, con los que elaboró los primeros registros completos de anillado de las aves norteamericanas. En 1931, sus amigos establecieron la Fundación Jack Miner para el estudio de pájaros migratorios a fin de asegurar la continuación de su obra. En 1943 recibió la Orden del Imperio Británico.
